The honest question for a liberal to consider:

Is non-binary gender expression wrongly suppressed as part of a legacy of flawed patriarchal culture to be remedied and are what the Minnesota government and its Department of Education are doing to "fix it" likely to improve anything or is there likelihood or risk of creating greater harm.

Non-binary gender is documented from the beginnings of our civilization, throughout our civilization, culture has adopted or instructed binary gender normality, though often recognizing exceptions, usually in the context of theatrical play, amusement, or queer sexuality.
